The ventilation market, much like the rest of the HVACR industry, is being driven by the need for more energy-efficient products.
“The trends that we are seeing in the ventilation market all revolve around providing efficient and precise airflow within spaces,” said Andy Olson, director of marketing, DuctSox Corp. “As consumers are looking to reduce their power requirements to minimize operational costs, the need for efficient and precise airflow dispersion is becoming more important throughout the design and implementation of products within the space.”
“Many HVAC programs focus almost exclusively on the nameplate-rated efficiency of the HVAC equipment itself, often disregarding the critical role duct sealing and proper installation plays in achieving improved energy efficiency,” said Chandler von Schrader, national program manager for the ESVI program. “The new ESVI program addresses this shortcoming by refocusing its attention on a whole-HVAC-system approach to energy-efficiency certification.”
Entic has been chosen by Major League Baseball’s (MLB) Texas Rangers to provide its real-time energy analytics to Globe Life Park in Arlington. The company’s technology will allow the ballpark’s management and staff to gain enhanced visibility into the facility’s major energy consuming systems and provide actionable insight to optimize performance.
