Ten inmates at the Fort Bend County Jail received certificates of completion of the HVAC/Electrical training course. This is the fourth presentation of certificates to inmates since the program began in 2015. The ceremonies were held at the Inmate Vocational Center on the Sheriff’s Office compound. Guest speaker for the event was Dejashatun Williams, a business consultant for Workforce Solutions. Williams helps employers solve their workforce needs and he offices in Rosenberg. The program is one component of Second Chance Opportunities and Re-Entry Educational (S.C.O.R.E) Programs, which has a goal of providing education for inmates in order to avoid returning to a life of crime.
